Recovery and Downtime

You will be encouraged not to sit for one week following the surgery. The majority of patients are able to get back to work after two weeks, as long as they avoid prolonged sitting.

Rigorous activities must be avoided at a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks.

It is crucial that your surgical wounds are not subjected to too much pressure, nor exposed to injury within this period.

Just like every surgical procedure, it is essential to be aware that these guidelines will vary extensively depending on the patient’s individual health, the techniques used, along with varied factors encompassing the surgery.

The occurrence of severe or persistent pain has to be reported to your doctor immediately.

Seeing Your Results

Nearly all swelling should decrease within the first 4 to 6 weeks, yet the outcome will not be totally achieved until about one year following your surgery.

Your body contours have to be permanently enhanced assuming that you do not lose or gain a significant amount of weight after the surgery.

On the other hand, age and gravity will ultimately cause some decrease of firmness.

Your surgeon will make an effort to position the scar as inconspicuously as possible, so you may still be able to wear your swimwear.

Even though they are permanent, scars will look better with time, continuing to flatten and become less noticeable within 2 years time.
