After the surgery, the wound has to be taken care closely to observe the wound condition if there is the severe pain or hematoma or not. However, there isn't usually significant discomfort; if there is, it can be lessened with pain medication or cold compress that can reduce pain and swelling. After 1-2 days of the surgery, the surgeon will examine the wound and remove the drain including other bandages and dress the wound. After that, the doctor may give you the instructions to take care the wound at home. The stitches will be removed after 7-10 days. The swelling and bruises usually disappear within 2-3 weeks and your new look will be apparent after one month.
