Hypertension is the medical term of High Blood Pressure. Blood pressure is the force of blood as it moves through the blood vessels. If the blood cannot flow smoothly through the vessels, the force increases, and if the force is too great, the individual has high blood pressure. This disease does not manifest not until it gets into a state of danger. It is an otherwise known a “silent killer” disease. It is a significant precipitating factor for other diseases including heart-attack, stroke, kidney problems and blindness. When people suffer high blood pressure, it is not uncommon for them to experience some kind of giddiness, tinnitus (ringing of the ear), headaches, and tachycardia (rapid palpitation of the heart).

The predisposing factors of hypertension is linked with lifestyle, obesity, genetic transmission, high salt intake, alcoholic drinks and stress are but among the many causes of High Blood Pressure.
