FAQs

Will I be awake during the surgery?
Having the patient asleep under general anesthesia is preferred, but some procedures can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation only. The doctor will assess and advise you on which anesthesia is better for you.
How long do I need to be in Bangkok?
Depending on the specific procedure, you may be discharged on the same day or admitted for a few days. All procedures require follow up after about 1 week.
How soon can I have sex again?
Sex must be postponed for 1-2 months, depending on the procedure done and your own rate of recovery.
What are the risks?
Some risks of surgery include bleeding, adverse response to anesthesia, infection, delayed healing, nerve injury, unfavorable scarring, and need for revision surgery.
How should I prepare for surgery?
To avoid complications and reduce risk factors you need to stop smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, taking hormonal pills, herbal supplements, and medicines (other than those that your doctor allows you continue), at least two weeks before your schedule. People with diseases need surgical clearance from their medical specialist.
