In hair transplantation, one’s own existing hair is used to cover areas of hair loss.  The surgeon harvests a tiny strip of hairs from the donor site and divides it into even smaller grafts with the aid of a stereo-dissecting microscope. The grafts are then transplanted to the bald spots.
