Tumescent liposuction is a surgical method of decreasing excessive fat deposits that do not respond to exercise and diet.  A solution of medicines with pain and bleeding control effects is injected into the layer of fat. The volume of this solution is enough to swell the fat, making it easier to control the next step, which is suctioning out part of the fat with a small tube.
