All staff and nurses are very caring, attentive, and helpful throughout my time here in Yanhee Hospital. Even my coordinator was quick to respond to all my concerns and questions. Dr. Somsak is very experienced; has shown great knowledge and done excellent job on my liposuction. During my stay in the hospital, the nurses and other healthcare staff have treated me with respect, patience, and great care. The facility of Yanhee was great, too. I felt like I was in a hotel with a private room and great view of Bangkok City from my window. Overall, everything has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

From day one, everything has felt very professional and well organized. I felt supported the whole way through. I was quite nervous before the surgery, but the staff were so kind and reassuring, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. That really helped me relax and feel comfortable. From the moment of my arrival to departure, the doctor and his extended team could not have cared and explained any better what was a very nervous time for me as all my flights were either cancelled or delayed and I had very little sleep heading up to my surgery which made my blood pressure sky rocket and was well over the limit of potassium from consuming too much electrolytes. Big faux pas on my behalf. The staff took their time to rectify this, which meant my 8-hour surgery was very delayed. Healthy, well, and I love my new youthful look. This is the place to be. Amazing services. I was well looked after. Staff are very kind and efficient. Dr. Somsak was very kind and patient as I had many questions, and I didn’t speak the Thai language.

The hospital staff are caring & compassionate. I had everything explained to me step by step. Doctors give patients the time and understanding you need to feel comfortable about the procedure you’re choosing. The hospital rooms are absolutely beautiful, complete with a kitchen and private bathroom. Unlike Australia, if you ring your bed buzzer, nurses are there within a minute. Australia needs to learn what true patient care is all about and study in Thailand.

Yanhee Hospital in Bangkok has positive reviews as a Medical Tourism destination, especially in the areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. The hospital services are great and the nurses and translators are very wonderful, especially the translator Najmi.

I only stayed here for a day after the surgery, and the wound is not as painful as I expected. Excellent services and everything. I will recommend this hospital to my other friends who will do the surgery. Perhaps if possible, Yanhee Hospital also provides/include salon (for hair wash) before discharge from the hospital. The food in the hospital is excellent, never had diarrhea. The nurse is very kind and soft spoken. The hospital staff is one of the best in the world. Highly recommended to come to this hospital. My only issue is the sleeping pill given at night. Then they take my blood pressure after 2 hours which interrupts my sleep.

Brilliant pre-organization and instructions. Brilliant meet and greet and consultation with Doctor. Pre-op investigations were very professional. Explanations for pre- and post-op are professional and comprehensive. All hospital staff are courteous, friendly, and happy.  Hospital procedures eg dressings kept clean and professionally performed. The hospital is very clean, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Six days post-op in my hospital room with a beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River. I had a tummy tuck, MR, and facelift with Dr. Somsak. I was very determined and self-assured sitting at home about my procedures. But once here, I was nervous and anxious. I contemplated backing out. I’m glad I didn’t because the whole process was smooth and easy from consult where I was assigned an English translator. I got to choose my surgery date and my package came with 6 days hospital stay with round-the-clock nursing care, meals, and medication. There was even a couch bed with blankets and pillows if I wanted my friend to stay the night and keep me company. The Doctor, nurses, and interpreter came by every day to check my progress, give updates, and a chance for me to ask questions. The International Liaison team Jo Ann, Kirsten, and Kryzl came by every day to check on my needs, answer questions, and chat. I wish I could remember the names of all the nurses, tech, and staff so I could thank them. They seemed like they really cared for my comfort and well-being.  Nurse Tipiwan and Dinah did give me badly needed assurance at the height of my anxiety as I was being prepped for surgery. In a couple of hours, I’m told I will have a visit from the doctor, receive more post-op care instructions, medications, and follow-up visit dates. Overall for 6 days post-op, I feel very good. I can walk around pretty comfortably and I can see my swelling going down every day. I’m glad I decided to do this for myself, and I’m glad I chose Yanhee.

My experience at Yanhee Hospital throughout my whole surgery process was nothing but positive. I dealt directly with the hospital and was surprised with the easy communication, and the speedy responses to my inquiries. On arriving at Yanhee, it was immediately apparent this hospital was efficient, organized, modern, and extremely clean. The pre-testing actually made me feel confident; obviously, the safety of myself and those around me was of the utmost importance. The greatest positive aspect of my whole journey was the staff, from registration to departure but particularly my daily care nurses were kind, caring, beautiful, and professional. My International Liaison Officers Jo Ann and Kirsten were helpful, gracious, and caring, nothing was too hard. I will certainly recommend Yanhee, Dr. Somsak, and the staff to anyone looking at surgery in the future.

Yanhee is very good. Dr. Somsak is a really good doctor. I had 2 operations here with Dr. Somsak. The results of my face and body are done by Dr. Somsak. The nurses and staff here are taking care of me really well. My room is clean. Interpreters Surhee and Nana are very good. Also, Randy is really good, too. He informed me information in detail before I went to the hospital. I received free transportation to the airport from the hospital. Thank you for everything. God bless.

I was so scared to go to Thailand alone because I thought something could go wrong and I needed to be evacuated, but no, best decision I ever made. The hospital was better than I expected; professional, supportive, and consistent compared to Australia. I had five-day stays whereas in Australia you only get one and have to fend for yourself. The surgeon was highly experienced and also the anesthetist. They were there the whole time monitoring you. My tummy, even though still swollen at the time of writing, has provided a new confidence. If anyone asks me about safety and surgery, I would say do it. I will come back for more surgeries later.

Now I understand why many FTMs in Vietnam recommend Yanhee. I really appreciate and would like to express my gratitude to Yanhee for their excellent care and professionalism before, during, and after my surgery. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the services and support provided by doctors, nurses, and interpreters throughout my journey.

While my experience at Yanhee was particularly positive, there are two points that I believe could be improved. Firstly, I hope that in oral medical discussions, my preferred pronoun as “he” could be consistently respected. This would significantly enhance FTM patient’s overall experience.  Secondly, I find it hard to control the temperature inside the hospital room, which leads to excessive cold sometimes. Despite these minor areas for improvement, I’m wholeheartedly grateful to Yanhee for helping me on my path to self-discovery and transformation.

My experience at Yanhee has been very positive. From organizing to arriving at the hospital, I was impressed by how well they set up to receive and assist international patients. The doctor was professional and checked in on me along with physios.
